Record the progress of learning words
The wordbook has a function to record the progress of memorizing each word.
After extracting words and clicking a name of a binder, a list of extracted words is shown.
By clicking a word, the content of the word will be opened.
On the content page, the following items can be found:
- Progress icons
- Meanings of the word
- Example - a script line including the word
- (Optional) Age of Acquisition
- (Optional) Audio
Progress Icons
The progress icons (Three faces) are placed below the title of the word.
Why three faces? Why not more?
I have thought too many statuses of progress can be confusing.
First, I thought of 4 or 5 statuses, and it was confusing after all.
When I know or I do not know, it is easy to decide.
How about between those statuses?
It is difficult for me to decide which one I should click.
Three was the best for me.
A blue circle icon is meant as an initial status.
It means that the progress of words is not registered.
When clicking the currently selected progress icon, the progress goes back to the initial status.
Archive
Once pushing the progress icon buttons, the words are registered in "Archive".
In "Main Menu", there is an "Archive" item. Clicking the item, the registered words will be found.
You can change the statuses from the "Archive".
